Watch Cyrenthia Speak at a Rally
Since 2017, Cyrenthia has worked as a 911 Dispatcher for the department of emergency communications. During this time she has become a peer supporter, where she listens to and helps others in a time of need. As a call taking and dispatch trainer, she assists and guides the new employees to get the foundational training they need to help save lives. And as a Union Steward, she ensures policies and protocols are being followed by staff and management. She have recently completed Leadership Academy with SEIU Local 205. These accomplishments further my internal value to always help others. Being a Mother and a full time employee I know how important it is to have quality benefits and quality people making decisions regarding them. This is my first time running for a metro Board but I am willing to learn what is necessary so I can continue to make changes and be a voice for the Employees that depend of them. Past Present and Future
Cyrenthia Arthur has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting her peers and fellow coworkers. As an experienced 911 dispatcher with the Department of Emergency Communications, Cyrenthia trains employees to take calls from citizens in need efficiently and empathetically. In addition to her work as a first responder, Cyrenthia is also a member of the SEIU Local 205 leadership team where she serves as a union steward to her coworkers in the DEC and meets regularly with Metro and Mayoral leadership.
Because of her dedication to service, Cyrenthia has unique insight on what employees need in order to live full, safe, and healthy lives. She leads with heart, with care, and with a commitment to the advancement of equity and inclusion in our Metro communities. This may be Cyrenthia's first time running for a position on the Benefits Board, but we have full confidence in her ability to learn quickly, put kindness first, and fight to ensure all Metro employees receive the quality benefits they need to live quality lives.
We wholeheartedly endorse Cyrentha Arthur for the Metro Benefits Board and urge you to vote for her too. Election Day is May 8th and you will be able to vote online or in person. You should get an email from Metro about the election details.
A vote for Cyrenthia is a vote for the people.

Board members also advise the Mayor and the City Council on benefit plans, to make sure that we’re represented fairly in the city budget and ordinances.
