In the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, the Committee on Political Education (COPE) endorses the Transit Improvement Program (often referred to as “Choose How You Move”) and encourages members to vote FOR the referendum. The referendum will provide dedicated funding to complete the priority sidewalk network, expand 24-hour public transportation on major routes, add neighborhood transit centers, and modernize more than 600 traffic signals, among other investments, paid for by a 0.5% sales tax.
Early voting in Tennessee runs from October 16-31. Election Day is Tuesday, November 5th from 7am-7pm.
